What To Expect

What To Expect At The Joint Chiropractic

Whether you know chiropractic care well or this is your first time, expect your visit to feel new and different from any healthcare experience you have had before. Perhaps even life-changing.

Your first visit

Expect Something Positively Different

For starters, you do not need an appointment. Walk in whenever we are open and be seen by our licensed chiropractors, even evenings and weekends. You will not need a referral or insurance to receive care right away. You may have a short wait, usually just enough time to complete your initial paperwork, which helps our chiropractors understand your health history and current needs.

Your Consultation, Exam, And Adjustment

If you have never been adjusted, this is a great chance to have your questions answered by a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic before treatment begins.

Walk In, No Appointment

You do not need an appointment. Walk in whenever we are open and be seen by our licensed chiropractors, even evenings and weekends. No referral or insurance needed to receive care right away.

Quick Paperwork

Consultation, Exam & Adjustment

Your chiropractor explains how joint dysfunctions occur and how an adjustment corrects them. After a consultation and exam, you may be adjusted in an open-bay area on a comfortable table, fully clothed.

You stay fully clothed the whole visit, so wear non-restrictive clothing to rest comfortably. Some adjustments happen face down, others while you are on your side, sitting upright, or on your back.

How Long Will My Visit Take?

Most first visits last up to 30 minutes. We recommend allowing at least 45 minutes for your initial visit to complete paperwork and give your chiropractor time for the exam and consultation. Follow-up visits are much shorter, often just 5 to 10 minutes.

How Often Will I Need To Return?

At the end of your first visit, your doctor will recommend the best course of care for your needs. Frequency is up to the professional judgment of the Doctor of Chiropractic and varies from person to person. Just as regular dental visits support good dental hygiene, routine chiropractic visits support proper spinal function and health maintenance.

Did You Know?

The lifetime prevalence of low back pain is reported to be as high as 84%.
